Of all the TV cartoon programmes I watch, I enjoy most the one with funny little blue men called, 'The Smurfs'. This is a weekly show with a colourful background of green woods, flowers, butterflies, birds and squirrels. These small blue creatures, the Smurfs, have, as their leader, Papa Smurf, a good character. They help unfortunate creatures including outsiders in difficult situations. Then, there's Smurfette, a lovely girl Smurf with a delightful voice, helpful and ladylike in all her ways.
Next, we have Baby Smurf, a truly lovable character whose language is cute and adorable and it is a pleasure to watch her and listen to her baby language. The scenes are set mainly outdoors in pretty surroundings in the woods with lots of trees, flowers, ponds, hills, waterfalls and rivers which delight the eye. Most fairy tales have giants, witches or monsters, and 'The Smurfs' is of no exception. There is Gargamelle, a wicked, ugly wizard, cruel to the Smurfs whom he plans to catch and imprison. Many a time, the Smurfs escape his cruel clutches and are free. His cat, Azriel, is a wild and unpleasant creature making eerie sounds and mewing. He and Gargamelle are always punished for their misdeeds and wickedness.I enjoy this programme as I find it amusing and entertaining especially with its beautiful scenery.
Baru-baru ini beberapa kawasan di negara kita telah dilanda banjir kilat. Hal ini telah menimbulkan pelbagai masalah kepada penduduk di kawa.
Besides, the Smurfs are a lovable lot.-322C,Taman Danau Maluri53300 Kuala Lumpur.20 August 2013.Dear Vince,How are you? I hope you are fine. Please send my regards to father and mother. I miss you all dearly. I heard that you did not do well in your recent PMR Trial Examination. Mother phoned me a few days ago and told me about it.
Father and mother are really worried about you spending too much time on the Internet. So, I am writing this letter to give you some tips on how to divide your time wisely.First of all, young man, don't stay up late.Don't burn your midnight oil chatting on the Internet. Go to bed early. Our body needs at least 8 to 10 hours of sleep everyday.Enough sleep will enable your mind to stay sharp and productive the next day. Therefore, instead of sleeping around 1 to 2 a.m.
In the morning, call it a night around 10 p.m.Next, don't spend too much time playing online games. There is nothing wrong in playing online games but when it affects your studies then you should put a brake to it.My advice is leave all your online gaming activities until you have finished your PMR Examination. Focus on your studies first, you can continue playing once you have finished your examination.Draft out a study timetable to help you manage your time wisely. On the timetable allocate one to two hours to surf the Internet.
Now, remember, the Internet contains a lot of useful information for everyone. It can be used to gain knowledge and to sift through for information useful for your PMR Examination. Finally, join some outdoor physical activities rather than just being holed up in the house in front of your computer the whole day. Go cycling or walking around the park. Play football or badminton with your friends in the evenings.
Physical activities help keep your body and mind healthy. You need a healthy body and mind to do well in your PMR Examination.I wish I could write more but I have to stop here for now. I have to prepare for my next week's final term semester examination. I hope you will take my advice and mend your ways. I wish you all the best in your PMR Examination.

Hugs and kisses.
In an ever-changing world with people striving to achieve their interpretation of preordained success, it is hard to know who your true friends are. Fortunately, I found my best pal early at the tender age of seven.
We were both enrolled at the same school and were at wits’ ends as we searched tirelessly for our designated classes.Samantha and I got acquainted as both of us were in the same class and sat next to each other. Samantha was a happy-go-lucky girl who always managed to breathe fresh air into the sometimes arid classroom.
She always knew what to say and would voice them at the best possible moments. Both pupils and teachers alike enjoyed her company and liveliness. There was hardly ever a dull moment when she was around with her funny quips and expressions.Samantha was born with a silver spoon. Her father was a businessman and her mother owned and ran a boutique. Both her parents were very caring towards her as she, just like I, was the only child of the family. Samantha came to school each day with a perpetual smile. She was a very nice person to be around with.
She and I used to go everywhere together and both of us were rarely seen apart. We used to talk about so many things as we walked, thoroughly enjoying our time together. One day, I went to school and forgot to ask my parents for lunch money. At first, I was not hungry and thought I could bear going without a meal but soon, my stomach began to growl. Without asking, Samantha generously paid for my meal and drinks during recess.
The incident revealed to me how lucky I was to have such a caring and compassionate friend. As time went on, people started teasing us as we were spending more and more time together. We seemed to know what each other thought and we cared for each other deeply. Was I in love with her? I did not know then and we both knew we were too young for all that emotional roller coaster.Currently, Samantha and I are studying at different schools. It was hard to be apart at first, but technology in the form of instant messaging and e-mails have helped to bridge the gap in our friendship. I sincerely wish our friendship will never end as it would be equivalent to waking up from a beautiful dream.-Road accidents are reported in newspaper and on television every day.
There are more frequently caused by reckless drivers rather than faulty vehicles. Last Saturday, while I was travelling from Ipoh, I witnessed a serious accident. The scene of the accidents was vivid in my mind.A motorcyclist was following behind was taxi very closely.
He was so impatient that he was trying to overtake my taxi even near a sharp bend. At that critical moment, there was an oncoming car. The taxi driver swerved to the roadside and I got a terrible jolt. It was too late for the motorcyclist to avoid the car.
His motorcycle ran against the bumper of the car and smashed its windscreen. The motorcyclist somersaulted over the car and was found lying in a pool of blood. It was a scene to chill the flesh! The car driver, who was cut by the flying glass, was in a state of shock.
All that happened in split second and fear overwhelmed us.The taxi driver stopped his taxi and I quickly ran to the nearest to the nearest telephone booth to inform the police and the hospital. From a distance I could see some people trying to help the injured motorcyclist and the car driver. They carried them into one of the onlooker’s car and sent them to the hospital for treatment.
Meanwhile the taxi driver tried to control and directs the traffic. Soon the police arrived and they promptly took some measurements and evidence. After that they moved the damaged car and the motorcycle to the roadside to ease the traffic congestion. They also took down the evidence provided by witnesses and onlookers. Some sweepers were clearing the debris and the blood stains on the road. When the taxi finally continued the journey, I silently thanked God for my narrow escape. I learned a good lesson that impatience and recklessness would bring harm and danger. I was happy to see that Malaysians are public-spirited and they render help to others readily.
Since then I remember and follow the saying ‘more haste less speed’ and ‘prevention is better than cure’. I believe good road manners and roads safety campaigns can help to reduce the number of road accidents which cause injuries, loss and lives and properties.-'Don't eat just before going to bed!'
My mother used to tell me. 'You might get a nightmare.' How right she was. I never believed her until it happened to me.It was on a night when I felt hungry just as I was about to go to bed.
So I made myself a peanut-butter sandwich and a large cold glass of milk. After consuming them I went to bed.Soon I drifted off into a troubled sleep. I dreamt that I was with a group of people looking for an old woman. I was not sure why we were looking for her but we all seemed afraid of her. Somehow we had to find her. So there I was, searching high and low for her in frightful places I had never been before.
Sometimes I seemed to be flying while at other times I seemed unable to move. The whole atmosphere was one of fear, like a dreadful horror-movie in which I was a victim. After some searching I entered a darkened room and saw a figure sleeping on a bed. As I got nearer the figure suddenly threw away the blanket, got up and stared at me. It was an ugly old woman with shiny golden teeth.
She raised her claw-like fingers and walked towards me.I wanted to run but was unable to. I tried to scream but found that I could not. In horror I struggled and struggled to get away from the frightful woman. The next moment I gave a muffled yell and found myself panting on my bed.
My goodness, what a horrible nightmare it was! For a minute or so I lay on my bed not daring to close my eyes for fear of falling asleep again and continuing the nightmare. Then I sat up on my bed until the horrible feeling passed. From then on I never eat just before going to sleep.-It was two o’clock in the afternoon. I was heading towards the bus station with Mohan after Mrs Wong’s extra class. The sun was beating mercilessly on my back and I could feel my sweat trickling down my spine.
I have often wished that my mother would allow me to ride a motorcycle to school. She says that I am not ready but we both know that she is terrified that a car would knock me down. When I reached the bus station, it was nearly empty except for a handful of boys. Mohan and I strode to a bench near the stationmaster’s office. I could feel the tension on my shoulders as the straps of my school bag ate into my shoulder. “Where is the bus?” I sighed to myself.
An elderly woman came and asked me where I was going. She started a conversation but gave up after my monosyllable answers.Suddenly, someone shouted and I saw a bus swerved into the station. I got up, thankful for the chance to escape from the woman. It was Mohan’s bus. The group of boys were jostling each other to get into the bus. Masuk!” shouted the conductor but nobody seemed to be moving. The black fumes made me nauseous.
All of a sudden, people started appearing from all directions to board their bus. In no time, the passengers were packed like sardines in the bus. It started to move, leaving some unfortunate passengers behind. I waved at Mohan when I noticed him dangling on the steps of the bus.
The bus swerved out of the station again. It left another trail of black smoke.I decided to go to Panjang’s ice stall. The iced sugar cane juice soothed my parched throat as I sipped slowly, all the while keeping an eye on the bus. Then I saw the bus heading towards the station.
I paid for my drinks. “See you tomorrow,” I waved to Panjang.Once more, the crowd began to swell near the bus. I noticed that the elderly woman was being shoved around by the boys.
She started hitting them with her umbrella. Then, I saw Raja, my classmate at the back of the bus. I hurled my bag through the window and he caught it. By the time I got into the bus, it had already started moving. I got into my seat and told myself that I must really try to convince my mother about the motorcycle again.-Rosni AliasNo.3,Jalan Sutera,Taman Cempaka,43600 Bandar Baru Bangi,Selangor.12 March 2012.Dear Zarina,How's life? I hope you are in the best of health.
How's my beloved Uncle Johari? I miss him too.The reason I write this letter is to tell you about my expedition to Langkawi. We just came back from Langkawi. I went there with 25 of my classmates and my class teacher. Mr, Zaid had kindlly accompanied us for the 3 day-trip.
You should have joined us. It was such an awesome experience!Well, on the first day, we arrived at Langkawi in morning after a short flight.
Then, we were taken to Langkawi Geopark, a UNESCO World Heriatage Site where we could see magnificent rock formations. We were taught the history of the place and some fossils of fish could also be sighted. This is a wonderful opportunity to understand geogical aspect of the island at the Geopark. After visiting Geopark, we were taken to Pulau Dayang Bunting which about an hour boat ride. I forgot to mention that the boat ride itself was so exciting and adventurous.
Upon arrival at the island, we were greeted by monkeys and soon, we saw a breathtakinng lake, with its gree clear water. Not forgetting the fish spa where thousands of catfish nibble at your feet when you lower feet into the water. Again, this is a new experience for me. Other than that, we could really enjoy the beautiful scenery of the island. The next day, we went to Underwater World where we saw the penguin, giant fishes, colourful onemones and all sorts of marine life there.I'm sure, it's heaven for fish lovers. One advantage of this trip is I could learn about themarine life. Well, on the final day, we went to Mahsuri Tomb and Padang Mat Sirat to relive the legend of Mahsuri.
It was a good experience since I managed to see the historic sites and understand Mahsuri legend better. Other than that, I also learn about the importance of being true to our words and do not spread false gossips since these can lead to horrible consequences. I also managed to make friends with some other tourists visiting the site.Okay, I guess I have to have to pen off now.
Hope to see you in the next letter. Please convey my love and regards to my uncle and aunti. I was sad and melancholic that day.
The very idea that I was going to be separated from my beloved School, the loving teachers and friends pained me. It pinched me to think that from the next day I would not be in a position to roam about there, sit under the shady neem tree, standing in the courtyard and gossip with my friends. As I reached the School gate, tears come to my eyes. The School building, the playground, the trees in the School courtyard, the class room and even the School library seemed to whisper to me how they would miss me. As I approached, the neem tree under the courtyard under which I used to sit with my friends talking and laughing, appeared to me to be grieved at my breaking the long association with it. One by one the past incidents associated with School flashed in my mind.I entered my class room.
My friends were present there and were talking, Soon the School bell rang and my class teacher entered the room. He too was pained to say us good bye. He wished us good luck and expected to be prosperous in our days to come. He then handed our admit cards over to us and departed with sad eyes. Then we went to School hall. A farewell party was arranged by the boys of IX. The hall was well decorated with flowers, leaves of trees and small flags.
We sat down on the chairs and talked to each other about the coming examination. Soon the head master and all the teachers arrived there and the function began. At first our monitor stood up and thanked the teachers and the headmaster on our behalf for the love and concern they had shown during our stay at the School.
Then our class teacher addressed us and told us if he or other teachers were occasionally harsh to us that was only for our benefit. Then our Head Master stood up and wished us good luck in our future. After the address of the Head Master, we were entertained with sweets and tea.We returned at home with sad hearts at the idea of leaving the School, the teachers and the happy school life for ever. We knew that in this world people meet to part and things come in our life to leave.-Though this period of twenty years is negligibly small on the evolutionary time scale, it is, when considered in terms of man's span of life, a considerably long period.
My friends frown upon my pessimistic attitude so I shall be optimistic when I think of what life has in store for me. If everything remains equal, I would be comfortably off and be pleasantly, burdened with responsibilities. My physical energy would be very much diminished and 1 would have retired from football.
Open multiple file explorer in windows 10. Also, open file in same window is checked off in folder options.
I hope to be a veteran badminton player, playing doubles at least twice a week. Perhaps I would not take to golf, even if I have the opportunity, for badminton is my second passion today, football being the first. I could be mentally restless and I would have developed a few hobbies and orchid-growing will be one of them. I would be inviting friends to play bridge with me on Sundays and we would he absorbed in the game, unaware of the world around, like the lotus-eaters.Now I find myself wildly enthusiastic about everything I do and I have made great plans for the future.
I have variously decided to become a pilot, a journalist, an officer, a teacher and a doctor. I wonder how many of my dreams will be realized.
In twenty years, I shall be thirty six. At the age of thirty six. I would have chosen one occupation and stuck to it. At the moment, the prospect of a routine life terrifies me. But at thirty six, any other way of living would be difficult. In spite of all my protestations of remaining a bachelor. I have a feeling that I will be married and be having children by then.
I would probably have not more than two or three children. I shall probably have a couple of girls and a boy. I really am not in a position to say anything definite about the kind of woman I am going to marry. Probably I shall be married to a very quiet but intelligent woman who is very practical, efficient. Understanding and realistic in her attitudes.Perhaps I would have finally decided to become a teacher.
If I would emulate my teachers I should be dedicated and efficient, preparing my lessons thoroughly and teaching effectively. I would be conscious of the teacher's responsibility for the mental, physical and moral development of the taught. I would be the badminton master of the school.
If I would be a successful teacher. I would eschew the idea of becoming a headmaster.I shall have some material comforts and live a happy life. I will probably have a house of my own.

I wonder what kind of magnificent television sets we will have then. There will be a whole lot of channels to choose from. If the satellite system is perfected, we shall be able to view television programs from all over the world.
I love music. I expect in twenty years, the degree of fidelity in electronic sound reproduction to be so high that I can actually listen to great, realistic concerts in my own room. At the rate we are miniaturizing electronic combinations. I expect my entire sound system to be the size of a match box. My telephone will have that gadget that will enable me to see the person I am talking to. I wonder if domestic lighting will be the same.
I can safely predict that my kitchen will probably look like some high-class science laboratory. There will be numerous labor-saving devices that will ease our domestic burden. Video tape recorders and regular home movies might help us to while away our time. I wonder what my car will look like. The material comforts that I would enjoy will not make me lose my values.
I will not be living in an artificial world of my own. My children would he my first responsibility and I would treasure the company of my friends and relatives.-Everyone has been embarrassed at one time or another. It is that moment in time when you wish the earth would open up and swallow you. The anxiety and discomfort felt during that time which may only last a few seconds feels like time has stood still.I remember so well when I had my most embarrassing moment. I was in Form 4 and it was during the school recess. The minute the bell rang for recess, I rushed to the toilet because I had been controlling my urges since class started.
Kepentingan Industri Kraf Tangan
I didn’t want to miss class because the lesson taught that morning was to include tips for the forthcoming examination.Without realising, I had rushed to the girls’ toilet. The prolonged control and an upset stomach made worse by two glasses of cold milk in the morning made me grunt and groan in what I thought in what I thought was the privacy of the cubicle. I thought I heard giggling outside and wondered why the giggles sounded unusually near. A few minutes later I came out the cubicle and discovered my horror that I had entered the girls’ toilet.
To make matters worse, the few girls standing outside didn’t even turn away when I came out. Instead they looked down at me, then only they turned quickly away.
Horror of horrors, I had forgotten to zip up! No beetroot could have matched the colour of my face at this point in time! They news of my predicament spread like wild fire throughout school. I was truly the talk of the town.
I felt like I could either walk around feeling perpetually self-conscious and embarrassed or I could turn the situation round, perhaps even to my advantage. I remembered my mother’s words that ‘if you can’t beat them, join them’. So I decided to make fun of myself, to laugh at myself too. Everyone got bored after a while and nobody teased me after that.It was indeed an eye-opening experience for me. I have learnt that when people laugh at you, you should laugh along. You must not take yourself seriously. Learn to look at yourself through other people’s eyes and you will realise that most of the time when they laugh at you, they just want to have some fun.
They mean no harm. If you can make people laugh, it’s like bringing sunshine into their lives and as someone said, ‘those who bring sunshine to the lives of others cannot keep it from themselves.’-Every year, hundreds of children are injured and sometimes killed in an accidents. This is because, they are neglecting the rules and regulation of roads safety.
However, there are many ways to prevent from the increasing of road accidents that effectuate students. For those who walks to school alone, needs to be companied by the elderly. Besides, they can also walk in pairs or groups if that makes them feel more safe. Don't ever use short cuts especially through a dark and quiet place such as the back alleys. This place is dangerous for girls to pass through it.Next, you have to be aware with your surroundings. Watch out for any suspicious person. When you smell anything fishy, immediately inform it to the security guard or straight forward to the principal. This action, sometimes can scare them away from you.Dicipline is very important. When you are well diciplined, you will never break any rules for every place that you'll go.
For an example, students who attends to school by bus. Always queue up before ascending the bus. Patience is needed, because this will prevent them from pushing other bus users whether they are boarding or alighting the bus. Thus, for them who attends to school by public or private transport are also the same. Its just that when you're waiting for your transport to fetch you up, never play on the road or joke with your friend while crossing the road. This may cause an unexpected accidents that occurs you or life of anothers. In a nut shell, students must follow the tips mentioned.Actions speak louder than words. Therefore, you must ensure that you are always alert whenever you are to and from school so, that you will stay safe. Like all people said 'safety comes first'.-Teen SmokingPeer pressure, to availability, to promotion, to the main cause, negative influences.
These are some reasons that cause teens to smoke before the age of 18. Peer pressure is one of the most common effects that cause teens to smoke or try something that shouldn’t be tried. Especially when hanging with friends, a lot of teens get pressured into doing things and one of them is smoking. Friends pressure them into smoking and that’s when they try to fit in so they won’t get teased or become ashamed because they didn’t want to try it.
Promotion or availability is when teens get influenced by watching adults such as relatives, parents, aunts and uncles smoke. They pick up that vibe where in their mind they are thinking 'If they can do that, then why can’t I?'
Also when teens watch someone they look up to as a role model, they follow them because they want to be just like them, but one day not realizing they are picking up a bad habit that shouldn’t be followed. Even favorite singers, actors etc., are strong influences on young teens. Availability is another, especially when parents allow their kids to smoke and also giving them the cigarettes to smoke or some go to a gas station and have someone older get a pack of cigarettes for them because of being underage.
(Due to peer pressure, 2003)Negative influence is another; it is caused by peer pressure or the wrong peer group, which could be friends with a problem in their life that they would rather not say anything about. So it is their behaviors that is a negative influence for other teens, also their adult family members like their parents, aunties, uncles and cousins. They also can pressure teens to do things that they do, for example: when a teen wants to try something, parents motivate them to try it. That’s when teens have negative influence not only by friends but someone close to you that you would never think would do such a thing like pressuring you into something.Who? Why?During the World War I era, cigars were smoked primarily by the wealthy but when cigar companies had left over tobacco they used them to make cigarettes. Usually the lower class would smoke cigarettes.
Eventually they started to mass produce the product and more and more people started to smoke them. After many years the cigarette is still smoked by all classes of citizens all over the world. Cigarettes have actually become a stimulant for most people. Writers, musicians, and painters are just a few examples of people who use cigarettes to isolate themselves in their own world to think of creative ideas. (American Lung Association, 2008)About 20 to 30 years after World War I doctors started to notice an increase in lung cancer. Nicotine is the ingredient everyone knows in cigarettes but there are many more, many poisonous ingredients.
