Nov 26, 2012 The Coalesced.bin for Mass Effect 3 is no longer a text file and you need tools to open them. So far I found 2 ways to do that the original Mass Effect 3 Coalesced.bin Tool by Rick or the newer more convenient GUI based ME3 Coalesced Utility by Monochrome Wench.

)MEA SPOILER(#s 'Sara and Scott are twins.' Hello fellow Shepard-Commanders!I just finished my second playthrough of Mass Effect 2 (and 1) and figured I wanted to share all my discoveries in terms of coalesced edits and more. Before going anywhere, I'll tell you there will be spoilers! The reason for all this is because I (being a completionist/perfectionist) wanted to get as much out of the game as possible.
Upping the difficulty made it feel more rewarding (we're saving the galaxy after all). Fiddling with the Paragon/Renegade unlocked all dialog choices which enabled me to approach different situations as I wanted (for instance I may want to solve one dialog through Paragon but not necessarily all of them). Also, editing the weapons added more fun for me (never understood weapons not able to shoot straight). There is a line between challenging-fun and challenging-annoying.
Yeah too bad these titles weren't on a more modder friendly engine. I think they would have had a huge modding community. Andromeda won't be much better in that regard unfortunately.I'm always game for trying something new to make bodies stay longer. That was one thing I never got to work as far as i could tell, with any kind of tweak. I've also never been able to use flycam and move Shepard at the same time. Its really cool to get into how these games work, but at the same time it almost looks like they pulled off a miracle to get this scope and type of game to work at all in the UE3 engine. It's all held together by string behind the scenes lol. I see, let me know if the body ragdoll thing works.
Looks promising at least. It appears Mass Effect 3's coalesced is a.bin and not.ini, so no notepad editing. =/ Always preferred that.As for Andromeda, as long as they make the game good I wouldn't mind too much.
As for ME3 I'm fine without modding guns, much bigger customization in-game, ME2, not so much. Really happy how it turned out to be fair. Not sure if I'll jump on ME:A right away though, I did my first play through of the series a year ago. Considering the negative feedback on ME3 at launch I feel I dodged a bullet there.

Wait, you actually managed to get gibbed powers to stick, let alone show up? I use the exec command in gamemodedefault; works well enough even though I have to reload it after entering every zone and every reload; but at the same time, I get more options in what I want to use at any given time. Also, you don't need gibbed to give yourself all of the weapons on the Collector ship, either.
You can tweak the weapon unlocks and alter plot flags to unlock them all at the same time via coalesced. Also, text comments don't crash the game; my coalesced has a few and I have no issues. Good question, I doubt it. Unless, hmm.Someone made a post on the steamforums about adding crouch. It looks like this:Bindings= ( Name='LeftAlt', Command='set SFXPawnPlayer bWantsToCrouch true OnRelease set SFXPawnPlayer bWantsToCrouch false' )to SFXGame.SFXGameModeDefault does it I think. Replace LeftAlt with whatever you want as long as it's valid. If you can find out what ever sprint is called and replace it, it may do the trick.
The default Sprint should still be present in the Use/Interact key as well though. Unless you make three of these. Could work.
You risk getting banned if you use mods in multiplayer. Single-player mods are okay.If you want to mod, you can only edit the size of the crosshairs, not the color. The details are, but there is a great coalesced.bin tutorial. You have to tweak each weapon's crosshairs individually:To select a weapon, go to bioweapon.ini/sfxgamecontent/sfxweapon and pick the weapon type and then individual weapon (e.g., sfxweapon = assultrifle = avenger).CROSS-HAIR SIZE:maxzoomcrosshairrange = (x=, Y= ) minzoomcrosshairrange = (x=, Y= )Cross-hairs DO NOT scale with accuracy. It is up to you to fix the cross hair size to fit the accuracy that you have modded. Update: It appears that they have now written an advanced guide with a lot more information:I know this is old, but I was looking for some tutorials on Coalesced and found this post, and I figured when people came here to find info on it it would be useful if they found some.I found a tutorial on a blogApparently whoever owns it likes using it in multiplayer, but the first post (bottommost) has a mini guide on enemies and stuff.
It looks like it probably applies to single player too.It looks like they are making a mod manager too. Also it doesn't seem like you can change the crosshair colors.
